Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Patterns of behaviour
- Loses temper
- Argues with adults
- Actively defies or refuses to comply with requests/rules
- Deliberately annoys people
- Blames others for his/her mistakes
- Easily annoyed by others
- Often angry & resentful
- Frequently spiteful or vindictive
Conduct Disorder
- Aggression to people or animals
- Destruction of property
- Deceitfulness or theft
- Serious violation of rules
Childhood onset: < 10 yo
Adult onset: > 10 yo
Developmental co-ordination disorder / dyspraxia
- Problems with Motor co-ordination that interfere in function
- Often noticed early school years – difficulty with simple motor tasks
- Not associated with decreased intelligence
Specific learning disorders
- A persistent difficulty with reading, writing, erithemic or mathematcis
- Not explained by another developmental problem
Dyslexia
- Specific reading disability
- Difficulties with word recognition, speeking
- Unexpected in relation to other cognitive abilities
