Gall bladder polyps

  • Usually inflammatory pseudo-polyps – may consider colecystectomy if symptomatic
  • Adenomatous polyps are rare -can be premalignant
    • Increased side > 10mm suspicious – cholecystectomy
    • If have IBD or Primary sclerosing cholangitis increased risk malignancy
  • Often managed with repeat USS to ensure no growth
