Flea bites
- cause itchy erythematous maculopapular lesions.
- They are usually multiple or grouped in clusters, occurring typically on the arms, forearms, legs and waist (where clothing is tight).
- Treat the source of infestation, particularly domestic cats and dogs.
- The itchy bites can be treated with an application of simple agents such as Stingose, alcohol, damp soap, anti-itch cream or a potent corticosteroid ointment.
